The Franciscan St. Anthony Health-Crown Emergency Medical Services Academy will offer its next emergency medical technician-paramedic training program Jan. 9.
Applications for the 18-month course will be accepted until 4 p.m. Oct. 25 and are available online or from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily at the EMS Academy, which located on the second floor of the hospital’s Medical Arts Center, 1201 S. Main St.
Classes will be offered from 6 to 11 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Upon completion of the program, students will be certified in Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support and will be qualified to take the National Registry written and practical exams to become certified as a paramedic in Indiana.
Instructors are experienced professionals who work as paramedics for local providers. Associate instructors include emergency room physicians, pharmacists and other experienced personnel.
